Operating as part of a Master Feeder structure, Velocity American Energy Fund, LP, along with Velocity American Energy Offshore, Ltd, invests its assets in Velocity American Energy Master I, LP. Working though the investment manager, Velocity American Energy Master I, LP invests in the energy commodities complex utilizing a strategy that relies on supply & demand imbalances, geopolitical developments, and weather events in a manner that provides a high alpha specialized portfolio with preservation of capital, risk management, and low correlation to other commonly held asset classes.

Jack Earnest - Portfolio Manager and Founder: Jack is a Portfolio Manager and the Founder of Velocity Merchant Energy("VME") as well as all of the other affiliated companies that make up the master feeder structure and associated entities. In October 2007, Jack formed Velocity Merchant Energy LP, a private investment manager dedicated to providing investment management globally to institutions and sophisticated investors specifically in the areas of North American power and natural gas. Prior to launching the fund, Jack founded Velocity Futures LLC., a Futures Commission Merchant registered with the CFTC and the NFA to address the needs of active commodity traders. Prior to founding Velocity Futures, L.P. , in 1995 Jack founded Momentum Securities, Inc., an NASD and SEC registered broker/dealer and a software development company which developed several diverse products for high frequency trading in the equity markets. Momentum Securities went on to become one of the largest professional equity trading organizations in North America, second only to Charles Schwab in terms of daily transaction volume. In 1999, Momentum was acquired by E-Trade and became E- Trade Professional. Prior to founding Momentum Securities, Jack worked as an accountant with KPMG Peat Marwick. Jack holds a BBA from the University of Texas at Austin in Finance with a second major in Accounting, and has over 16 years of experience managing trader assets and risk in equities, commodities and OTC products.
Aaron Easterling - Portfolio Manager and Director of Recruiting: Aaron is a Portfolio Manager and the Director of Recruiting at Velocity Merchant Energy. Aaron was brought into the firm to increase the efforts of the other managers with fielding, sourcing and retaining top talent in the energy markets. Prior to joining Velocity, Aaron led the Technology Recruiting effort for HBK Capital Management in Dallas, Texas. While at HBK, Aaron executed ambitious growth plans by sourcing, screening and closing for all company technology related job searches. Aaron continuously expanded HBK's sourcing pipeline resulting in the hiring of approximately 70 new employees, more than doubling the size of the team. Prior to HBK, Aaron was part of the Talent Acquisition function at Countrywide Financial Corporation where he led teams responsible for sourcing talent in the Correspondent, Wholesale, Retail, and Banking channels.
Patrick Sweeney, CPA - Chief Financial Officer: Patrick is the Chief Financial Officer for Velocity Merchant Energy("VME") as well as all of the other affiliated companies that make up the master feeder structure and associated entities. As CFO, Patrick overseas all financial reporting and the close relationship that the firm enjoys with it's fund administrator. In addition, Patrick overseas all audits conducted on the firm and associated entities. Prior to Joining the firm, Patrick was CFO of Velocity Futures, LLC, a Futures Commission Merchant providing clearing services to a broad range of commodity cliental in the high frequency trading space. Prior to joining Velocity Futures, Patrick was CFO of Momentum Securities, LLC, a broker dealer with 21 different branch offices across the US and europe. Patrick was instrumental in it's sale in 1999 to ETRADE. Patrick is a Certified Public Accountant, received his BBA in Accounting from the University of Texas, Austin and has over 30 years of experience in the profession.
Richard C. Killough - General Counsel
Rick is the General Counsel for Velocity Merchant Energy ("VME") as well as all of the other affiliated companies that make up the master feeder structure and associated entities. Prior to joining Velocity, Rick was with the Adams Law Firm, the McLain Law Firm, and worked as assistant independent counsel in the Whitewater and Lewinsky investigations under independent counsel Kenneth Starr. Rick graduated with a bachelors degree in history and management from Rice University and holds a J.D. from the University of Texas at Austin. Rick is a member of the State Bar of Texas.
